Honorary Consul Mr Asif

His Excellency Malik Muhammad Asif, the Honorary Consul of the Slovak Republic in Pakistan. Honorable Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Miroslav Lajcák, ceremonially opened the Honorary Consulate of Slovakia in Lahore (Punjab Province) and appointed His Excellency Malik Muhammad Asif to the office of the Honorary Consul on 10 June 2014 on the second day of his official visit to Pakistan.

His Excellency is the recipient of civilian National Award of Honor "Tamgha-e-Imtiaz " meaning "Distinguished Service Medal" from the President of Pakistan in 2011. His Excellency Malik Muhammad Asif is a leading industrialist in Pakistan, Indonesia, Singapore and Australia. He is the Chief Executive Officer of the White Pearl group of companies and President Director of Royal Industries Indonesia. He was also awarded the Businessman of the Year Award in 2007 in Pakistan for his contribution to the industrial sector. In 2007 he became Chairman of the Pakistan Jute Mills Association (PJMA), and he is a member of the association's executive committee. In 2002 he became Vice Chairman of the Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP).
